I sometimes get in a funk where I sit down to create something, and...............that's about it. I sit there, and sit there, and sit there forever and finally I turn off the computer and go in the kitchen for a big bowl of ice cream. (I eat when I'm depressed.)

Well, in my search for inspiring places to look for things to kick-start my creative muse I ran across this site:

Toasted Cheese  http://www.toasted-cheese.com/webcal/webcal.cgi

It is a site for creative writers, and they have a "prompt calendar" for writers that need an idea for something to write about. Every day they post a quick idea to put a thought in your head. I saw quite a few prompts that would translate well into digital art, so I thought I would share!

Who could pass up prompts like this:

Family game night takes a macabre turn during Clue

At the first day of the convention, a stripper in a bear costume

Before you get angry, let me explain the dent and the white feathers.

A zebra purse and pink rhinestone shoes

I figured I couldn't be the only one that experiences "dry spells" so I thought I would share. And don't be surprised to see a layout from me soon with a zebra purse and pink rhinestone shoes!

Hmm, okay, here's a few random prompts:

"I ask you, what's wrong with this picture?"

A woman or man, wakes up to find her/him self floating above the bed

A stay at home dad joins the local mothers' group

God takes a vacation

Family game night takes a macabre turn during Clue

At the first day of the convention, a stripper in a bear costume

Well, I am very curious about the bear in a stripper costume...ooops I mean the stripper in the bear costume....

And I think Ms. Rachel (Orachel) could pull off the family game night...especially after her "Suffer The Little Children" piece....I'm just sayin'

Aaaaahhhhhaahhhhh!!!!! (((running from the freaky muse!!!!!))))

what a riot, Edeena. Seriously. too funny for words.

And Lisa..just saw this...that macabre clue turn does sound intriguing. pondering, pondering...somehow i keep coming back to the dent and the feathers. Have no idea for it, but i keep landing on that one. Need to noodle on it.

Edeena, that muse is a riot, but she does look like she'd be scary if you didn't obey her.

Yes, she's pretty hard to ignore!

For me, though, I find that conversations or funny things I hear spark my creative interest.  Take, for prime example, a conversation that Rachel (orachel) and I were having tonight.  I believe the context was that Rachel was feeling out of place, and she likened it to being "ass naked in Prudesville".  Now, not to make light of her feeling of inadequacy (albeit totally unfounded, Rachel!), but that expression made my Muse sit up and say "There's a layout in that!" and sure enough, wouldn't leave me be until I'd produced this:

Have you ever had conversations like that?

ROFL!! This is too too good, Edeena!! What fun, and seriously, she was BORN to strut on those platforms from Hollie's Stark! So highly entertaining. The kisses bra and shoes just take it from fab to out of this world hi-sterical!
