This is something I would love to try to explore with my camera..that is IF it's possible.
These are just some breath taking photos. I would love to point all the Fantasy LO critics to this linkage.....let them take a peek at the wonderous world they have not seen.

wow I really like that. I think imitating it with digi would be very cool too.

I've seen a lot of tutorials about mimicking the look in PS.  I've never known a IRL person to actually shoot infrared.  Love the looks, but can't imagine converting a digital camera for sole IR.

WOW.  Talk about fantastic photography!  I have to admit that I wouldn't go mad and convert a camera to IR, I LOVE the look of it!

I had a quick search to see if there were some (free) actions to trial the look of it, and here's what I found:

(it's part way down)

(again, part way down the page)

Thanks for sharing, Balinda!

Very neat Balinda.  Have you been able to find anything else out about this?

Some of the older digital camera don't block infrared the way the new ones do. So, with an older camera you can shoot infrared simply by adding a filter.  Filters can be purchased at better camera stores.   I believe the Nikon D100 was the last one to have this capability, not sure about Canon ... the D20 I think.   I have an old 5.1 megapixel Olympus 5030 that I use and it shoots beautiful infrared.   So unless you're shooting poster sized, you can shoot infrared on a budget cause a lot of those old cameras are very inexpensive!

ALso filter forge got some filters for Infrarot. You need to download this and instal it as plugin to Photoshop or you it as standalone version. I think it is for free only 30 days...
