Ok, I have to admit.... I LURVE my iPhone. I couldn't survive without it. Next to my Mac, its my baby. It's always within arms reach of me, unless my son has snatched it to play games on.
Well today, while surfing for some more apps, I came across this one and DUDE, it rocks!!! The http://hipstamaticapp.com/http://hipstamaticapp.com/Hipstamatic App lets you switch lens, flashes and film for all kind of cool effects. It also has a built-in share feature to upload to places like Facebook and Flickr with easy. So, if you want a fun new app to play with, I totally recommend this one!!!

Have you seen the other two apps by that same company? One with vintage photo processing and one that does photobooth-style picture strips!
I'm totally with you on the iPhone love, Hollie -- mine's out of contract, though, and AT&T decided to drop us now that we're out in the boonies with no AT&T-owned towers nearby. February 10th can't come fast enough! (When Verizon gets the iPhone biz.)
Speaking of iPhone photography, LoriKay Ludwig did an awesome online workshop for people wanting to do really cool things with iPhone cameras. I *believe* it was Camera In Your Pocket. Let me check and get a link.

AHA! Found it!
http://gryphonsfeather.typepad.com/the_poetic_eye/the-camera-in-your-pocket-iphone-point-shoot-journaling.htmL
It's geared toward art journallers and mixed-media folks, and the class is HUGE. I think I started in July and I'm only, like, half-way through. Everything from techniques to composition, with *lots* of stuff about various photo apps.
(And if you're into motion scrapbooking, btw -- 8mm Vintage Camera is the best $2 you'll ever spend. It's like the hipstamatic, but for *video*. It makes me swoon a little.)

Ack! No iPhone. I bet you are on pins and needles for Feb 10th!
I didn't know LK had a class. I will have to check it out. Hubby upgraded my iPhone for Christmas and now that it takes hi-res photos its sooooo much better. I have to admit, I suck at looking for new apps. Don't know why but I sort of forget to look for them. I will have to go check out those other ones you mentioned. And heck yeah, I love the 8mm idea. Off to shop.
Thank you!

Oh and on a side note, Michael deMeng mentioned this app on his blog - iMut8r. If you are into doing silly things like turning yourself or your kids into zombies, vampires or werewolves, its really fun and really well done!

I recently enrolled in a couple of LK's photo classess....I don't have an iPhone but it's been great seeing what she does to alter her printed pics and I am reading a couple of her books at the same time. She offers a few classes now and had a sale on them in January I think.

You have no idea. There are days that I fondle it lovingly and twitch at the little "no service" icon in the upper left. I'm very tempted to go sit at the local Verizon office *now*, if it wasn't ten below zero. :D (It's still a long sight better than being *completely* internetless...at least I've got my home 'net back!)
And you're the third person to tell me that the 4's camera is a billion times better than the 3GS (what I have right now)...I'm starting to get sorely tempted to just buy a new one for the Verizon gig. Video makes me kind of squealy. :)
If anybody ends up taking the new LK class -- do tell us how it is...? I LOVE the one I'm in, but those recommendations are usually what push me over the edge to going for new ones. LOL!

LOL! The 4G is really nice. If you are a geek like me, then yeah....go for it and upgrade.
Got the 8mm app. Very cool! Also bought the Tilt Shift and Toy Camera apps. Can't wait to play!

I had to read this post! I'm waiting on my first iphone may be here today!
As far as app effects, my dd's DSi has this ability. Tons of filters borders, elements, etc and easy enough to upload. Who knew??
